On March 12-14, a delegation of representatives of the Azerbaijani government and entrepreneurs led by Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev visited Ukraine. The visit was devoted to expanding bilateral cooperation.
First of all, the Azerbaijani side is interested in attracting modern pharmaceutical and biotechnologies, manufacturing various types of polymers and plastics and products made of them, as well as in placing machine-building production, particularly agricultural machinery.
The entrepreneurs of both countries discussed promising areas of the partnership in the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce during the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani business forum, which was attended by representatives of LLC UKRINTORG.
The main topics of the business forum were: the state and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, and the main attention was paid to such areas as the agrarian sector, the food industry, the construction industry and tourism.
The event demonstrated the considerable interest of the Azerbaijani business community in establishing contacts with Ukrainian entrepreneurs – the delegation consisted of more than 40 companies interested in cooperation. Given this, the governments of both countries have voiced their readiness to maximally promote the speedy implementation of common projects.
In confirmation of these intentions, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation AZPROMO, as well as the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan.
