The cooperation of the competent authorities in the field of food safety in Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China has significantly intensified over the last period, as evidenced by concrete results. However, this is only the beginning, because the potential of Ukrainian-Chinese relations is much greater, and the parties intend to deepen bilateral cooperation.
This was discussed during the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on the issues of European integration Olga Trofimtseva and Chairman of the State Consumer Protection Service Vladimir Lapa with the representatives of the official delegation of the General Administration of Quality Supervision Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), chaired by the Director of the AQSIQ Headquarters, Lin Wei.
During the meeting, Vladimir Lapa reminded that at the end of May, the Statesupplyservice and AQSIQ signed the Protocol of Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary and Sanitary Requirements for the Export of Frozen Beef from Ukraine to China, which is an extremely important practical step in opening the Chinese market for Ukrainian beef producers.
In addition, the Statesupplyservice and representatives of the AQSIQ actively cooperate in coordinating phytosanitary and inspection requirements for the export of a whole range of Ukrainian agrarian products to the PRC market.
